Providence Place of Pottsville is seeking to recruit an energetic, compassionate Activities Associate ready to lead purposeful and engaging activities with residents who are living with dementia. The Activities Associate assists with programs and events that promotes and encourages a feeling of independence and a sense of accomplishment. Encourages and motivates residents to stay active - both mentally and physically. Works closely with Activities and Caregiver staff to promote residents' quality of life, dignity and independence.

Starting Rate: $15/hr

Hours - 8:30 am - 5 pm - Some evenings required. Must be able to work EOW/EOH

• Knowledge of the physical and emotional aspects of aging.

• Motivational skills, including the ability to positively influence residents and co-workers.

Minimum Qualifications :

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in group socialization or recreational programs preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft software and other electronic devices.
• Valid driver’s license: must have clean driving record with no major violations.
