The VP of Global Consumer Insights and Ninja Test Kitchen will lead the strategic vision for consumer insights, innovation, and product development through the Test Kitchen and consumer research. This role oversees global efforts to understand consumer needs, behaviors, and trends, shaping product development, marketing, and brand positioning. The VP will also manage the Test Kitchen operations to innovate, prototype, and refine products ensuring high consumer satisfaction, taste, and market readiness. Key Responsibilities Consumer Insights Strategy: Develop and execute a global consumer insights strategy to drive innovation, marketing, and engagement across all touchpoints. Lead a global team of researchers, analysts, and data scientists to analyze consumer data and market trends. Utilize qualitative and quantitative research methods to generate actionable insights. Provide deep understanding of consumer preferences, needs, and pain points to keep the company consumer-centric. Test Kitchen Leadership: Oversee operations for product innovation, prototyping, and culinary experimentation. Collaborate with R&D, Product Development, and Marketing to translate insights into prototypes. Manage testing of new product concepts, flavors, and packaging, integrating consumer feedback. Enhance the Test Kitchen’s capabilities for global innovation and collaboration. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Development, R&D, and Marketing to embed insights at every product lifecycle stage. Align insights and innovation with company growth, brand strategies, and market opportunities. Work with external partners to enhance product development and consumer understanding. Consumer Testing & Innovation: Create frameworks for testing product concepts, packaging, and messaging. Lead sensory testing and validation to ensure product quality and consumer appeal. Leverage insights for continuous innovation across categories and flavors. Global Trends & Competitive Intelligence: Identify and analyze global consumer trends, industry shifts, and competitors. Provide foresight into emerging consumer needs in the consumer goods or food sectors. Conduct competitive analyses to identify market gaps and growth opportunities. Data-Driven Decision Making: Implement analytics, big data, and AI tools for consumer insights and testing. Translate insights into strategies for product development, marketing, and branding. Use consumer feedback to validate business assumptions and guide decisions. Leadership & Team Development: Coach team members and foster a culture of innovation and consumer focus. Set goals, provide feedback, and support professional growth. Budget & Resource Management: Manage budgets for insights and Test Kitchen operations. Oversee relationships with vendors and external partners. Innovation & Brand Leadership: Influence brand strategy and positioning to resonate globally. Share insights and developments with leadership and stakeholders. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's in Marketing, Business, Consumer Behavior, Food Science, or related; Master's preferred. Experience: 15+ years in consumer insights, innovation, product development, or R&D; 7+ years in leadership roles. Experience with Test Kitchen operations, product testing, and consumer data analysis required.
