About Knot

Knot’s mission is to empower consumers and businesses alike with connected merchant and banking experiences. Knot is like “Plaid for merchant connectivity.” We are building the platform connecting merchants to the many applications that consumers and businesses interact with everyday. Our flagship product allows consumers to instantly update & manage their cards on file with online merchant accounts (e.g. Netflix or PayPal). We are building many new products on top of our novel merchant connectivity platform and we hope you choose to come build them with us!

What you’ll do

• Lead & manage a team to build, experiment with, and debug user-facing features on Knot’s CardSwitcher and Subscription Management products.

• Develop TypeScript across the stack, building user interfaces in React.

• Work closely with the team’s product lead to deliver on an ever-evolving product roadmap and develop processes that make the team successful.

• Be accountable for making and delivering on team commitments, as well as pivoting when necessary in order to keep the team focused on the most impactful work.

• Foster a culture of deep care for industry-leading user experience.

What you’ll need to get the job done

• 4+ years in product engineering roles

• 1+ years of experience managing other engineers

• Track record of shipping high-quality code across the stack with proficiency in Node/Typescript, React, Laravel/PHP, and CloudSQL (or similar relational database).

• Excited to work with the product team on high level team direction, as well as dive into the details of individual problems on a day-to-day basis.

• Ability to tailor your management style to suit your team’s needs, identifying where some people might succeed with a more hands-off approach than others.

• Expert communication and ability to collaborate seamlessly with product teams.

• Experience with fintech or consumer apps is a plus.
