LerroSarbey is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Associate to join our growing 75+ person firm. Our full-service certified Public Accounting and Advisory firm has been providing a full spectrum of services for over 30 years, including traditional tax and accounting services, financial statement attestation, risk advisory services, transaction advisory services, forensic auditing, litigation support consulting, as well as operating control auditing and consulting services.

As a Tax Senior, you will have the opportunity to provide a range of tax and advisory services to a diverse client base, including small, fast-growing clients, and large public entities.

• Experienced in preparing Individual, Flow-Through, and Trust returns
• Working with clients' QuickBooks/QuickBooks Online Data files to make adjusting journal entries for tax
• Apply industry-specific knowledge to advise clients on the tax implications of their business objectives, evaluating and selecting alternative actions to lessen tax burden and cost of compliance, identifying different methods of complying with tax regulations while acting as the primary client contact for complex tax issues
• Provide tax compliance and consulting services to various entities in a variety of industries
• Perform technical tax review on complex returns of individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates, and trusts
• Able to communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients
• Respond to federal and state tax notices that impact clients
• Maintain a list of clients that will be yours to manage and grow
• Serve as the "in-charge" individual on client engagements
• Manage multiple engagements and competing priorities effectively
• Work efficiently and effectively while working remotely
• Execute work with a commitment to quality and adherence to the highest degree of professional standards and ethics
• Assist in managing administrative activities for the department and partake in ongoing firm development
• Personally coach and develop a highly trained team, and actively participate in development of the practice
• Apply knowledge to understand potential tax issues, recognize, communicate potential risks and changes in tax policy, and make top-level decisions regarding filing, preparation, and resolution of questions from federal/state agencies

Experience recommended for this position:

• At least 3+ years working for a public accounting firm preparing and reviewing tax returns
• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Preparation and review of financial statements and complex tax returns
• CPA License is preferred
• Experience with CCH Axcess is preferred, but not required
