Job Description

About the Role

We seek a strategic, experienced Principal of Business Development to lead sourcing, negotiating, and managing partnerships that add value and accelerate growth.

  • Work with leadership to identify and pursue impactful partnership opportunities, evaluating options and bringing innovative ideas.
  • Build relationships with internal and external decision-makers, overcoming barriers creatively and persistently.
  • Lead contract negotiations using expertise, data, and emotional intelligence to secure favorable terms.
  • Manage agreement execution, develop joint plans, and monitor performance, seeking to expand partnerships.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, influencing strategy and securing stakeholder buy-in.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and results orientation.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience, including 5+ in strategic partnerships or business development in tech, preferably SaaS or platform companies.
  • Proven success in sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and closing complex partnerships with measurable results.
  • Experience managing strategic partnership portfolios, developing joint plans, and exceeding KPIs.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, capable of engaging all levels of stakeholders.
  • Strategic, business-savvy, data-driven, and adaptable to ambiguity.
  • Ability to operate independently, proactively driving initiatives.
