Production Pneumatic Fitter should possess the ability to safely and promptly perform tasks involved with the day to day maintenance and support of pneumatic systems on offshore production platforms in order to minimize or resolve downtime. In addition, this level requires Preventive Maintenance skills. This level requires the ability to be a team player and to work closely with Production Personnel.
Requirements
- Perform routine pneumatic maintenance repairs on assigned system equipment and facilities.
- Perform pneumatic diagnostic and repair work on pneumatic systems.
- Perform a variety of pneumatic duties including installing, disassembling, inspecting, repairing, and replacing defective parts on a variety of pneumatic equipment and facilities.
- Schedule and perform routine maintenance checks.
- Verify that pneumatic Safety Systems operate in accordance with SAFE Charts.
- Installation of tubing tray and running of single line and or multi line runs and panel breakouts and order changes.
- Report part shortages or damage components.
- Installation of tubing tray supports, running tray, bending tubing, single line, multiline, panel breakouts, etc.
- Other duties as needed.
Required Skills - Ability to read and interpret tables.
- General knowledge of API 250 14C.
- Ability to tube panels and or make modifications and logic changes if needed. Strong panel troubleshooting along with pneumatic end devices, etc.
- Ability to read blue prints/safe charts.
- Ability to generate and complete a job book.
- Ability to interpret schematics to complete assembly procedures.
- Ability to point out deviations from schematics to physical component.
- Ability to perform Basic Math and conduct inventory.
- Ability to tube panels and or make modifications and logic changes if needed.
- Strong panel troubleshooting along with pneumatic end devices, etc.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must be able to travel from Maurice, LA Facility to portal (Heliport or boat dock).
- All customer concerns are handled respectfully and promptly.
- Knowledgeable on different type of hydraulic components.
- Strong proponent of leading safety initiatives.
- Proactive planning approach to mitigate downtime.
- Leader in preventive actions to forestall quality or safety issues before they occur.
- Works with a team or independently without constant supervision to complete task.
- Verify that pneumatic Safety Systems operate in accordance with SAFE Charts.
Required Experience & Education - 5years of experience or equivalent in the field of Pneumatic Panel Construction and/or installation.
- Highschool Degree or G.E.D required.
- T-2 Certification
Schedule - 14/14 Set rotation offshore
Physical Requirements - Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to reach with arms and use tools above/over the head.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements.
- Ability to stand (for extended periods of time), walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl and twist
- Ability to sit, balance and climb ladders, scaffolds and other objects.
- Ability to move in and around confined and cluttered places and uneven areas.
- Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift in all weather and temperature extremes.
