Job Responsibilities & Essential Duties:

· Manage all aspects of brokering dry bulk freight, including but not limited to: shipper and carrier relationships, freight rate negotiations, dispatching, and collaboration with company accounting and administration teams.

· Manage all aspects of company trucks, driver personnel, including but not limited to ensuring timely and proper maintenance and repairs on company truck. Coordinate testing procedures and record compliance. Purchase and maintain fuel, oil and lubricant inventory.

· This position is the point contact for drivers and has all necessary information to provide delivery support directly to customers in a timely efficient and professional manner.

· Sales oriented is a must. This position requires one to consistently look to expand our pool of shippers, customers and freight haulers.

· Works closely with other sales teams to coordinate and assign freight hauls, confirm availability with outside carriers, monitor routes for maximum efficiency, productivity and maintain the highest level of service.

· Ensure compliance with all federal and state transportation regulations as well as participate on the company safety committee.

· Perform minor facility management duties as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

· Ability to work in a high paced and stressful environment

· Efficient and professional communication skills

· Must be a team player, demonstrating the ability to interact and cooperate with peers, supervisor, and other company personnel

· Two years of sales experience

· Supervisory experience, transportation experience and bachelor’s degree are preferred

· Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time

Classification :

· Full time Monday through Friday, exempt, must be available to answer occasional after hours calls, not a remote / telecommuting position

Compensation & Benefits :

· Annual base salary of $ 72,000 + commissions

· Seven paid holidays per year
