We're looking for someone to join our team as a Dental Practice Manager who:

The Dental Practice Manager is the liaison between administration and the dental offices. The Office Manager will perform a variety of duties and training for the dental staff. Attend meeting and participate in selected committees. Review and correct daily production and billing for proper reporting. Follow up on Incident Reports, Injuries, Refund Request, and Orders for the Dental Department.

The Dental Practice Manager supports Clinica Sierra Vista Production System and promotes culture transformation to improve health outcomes, improve the patient experience, and reduce waste.

Essential Functions:

  • Embraces and promotes the organization’s strategic plan and Clinica Sierra Vista Production System (CSVPS). Champions and demonstrates the values, mission, and vision of CSV, always putting the patient first.
  • Review and organize office operations and procedures.
  • Verify scheduling policies and protocols and recommend new ways to improve efficiency.
  • Develop and recommend programs to improve office operations, patient retentions, and appointment availability.
  • Responsible for training front and back staff and orientation of new hires.
  • Manage employee relations and make sure staff have the necessary resources and support.
  • Assist dental staff by facilitating the purchase of dental equipment, tools, and supplies.
  • Manage procurement of general office supplies and equipment.
  • Complete and submit employee evaluations to Human Resources.
  • Determine and maintain efficient staffing levels and create monthly work schedules.
  • Work with HR to access, investigate and resolve employee issues and complaints.
  • Review employee time sheets and validate hours worked.
  • Maintain an office environment that ensures optimal patient care and customer service.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of software systems to compile, store and retrieve data for administrations reporting.
  • Ensure compliance will all relevantly state dental laws.
  • Appropriately recognize clinical management issues and bring to appropriate clinical leadership.

You'll be successful with the following qualifications:

  • Associate degree (AA/AS) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred; or two to five years’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Certified as a Dental Assistant (RDA) or three years recent experience as a dental assistant and two years’ experience as a dental office manager.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, co-workers, and staff.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to apply fraction, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Must adhere to Clinica Sierra Vista’s employee health/immunization requirements or provide a valid exemption request for subsequent approval.
