Commitment Typist – 1st Shift: Rockford, Illinois

We’re hiring a Commitment Typist for a full-time, first-shift position with a respected title agency in Rockford, Illinois. This role is essential for preparing accurate title commitments, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of real estate transactions. If you're a fast and precise typist with a sharp eye for detail, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities of the Commitment Typist :

• Accurately type title commitments based on title searches and examiner notes
• Draft legal descriptions and include the correct exceptions and requirements within each commitment
• Communicate with title examiners, escrow officers, underwriters, and clients to gather or clarify information
• Update and revise commitments as needed throughout the transaction process
• Handle all sensitive customer and property information with confidentiality and professionalism

Commitment Typist Requirements and Qualifications:

• High typing speed and accuracy required
• Strong attention to detail and data entry skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Prior experience in title work is a plus, but not required

Pay for Commitment Typist :

• Starting at $17/hour with no experience
• Higher pay available for candidates with title or commitment typing experience
